Carousel

in a place called St Gilles Croix de Vie (in France), near where we stayed, for our holiday / it turned out to be an unexpectedly serious holiday, with talks morning and evening / the place (Le Pas Opton) is run by Spring Harvest / thankfully, the regime was not as intense as I’ve heard the main events can be …

actually, I appreciated the ministry / also the lively worship / and the resort was certainly a good place to be with a family …

back to work / trying (with some difficulty) to carve out a new role / things went quite badly wrong, a few weeks before we went on holiday / the immediate crisis is now past (I believe) / but now I am finding it difficult to fit in / and to contribute effectively / we are trying to arrange appropriate support (recognising my Asperger’s) / but it never seems to be straightforward …

feeling somewhat fragile / but it’s best that some stuff previously hidden is now in the open / and can, hopefully, start to be dealt with …

fathers’ Day

through the kindness of Pizza Express, and CCLASP, daughter and I spent the morning of Fathers’ Day making pizzas – this was my effort, before going into the oven:

marshmallow Toaster

bought this thing a couple of weeks ago, thinking that it could be used as a barbecue / was wrong / but it’s quite a good place to toast marshmallows …

in contrast to what’s being endured down south, we are enjoying pleasant sunshine / too warm, really, for a fire / feels like an interlude, though …

another Week

maybe a different head of blooms, but with the passing of another week comes greater maturity:

perhaps in more ways than one / felt pretty bad on Monday / but survived the week (although some crises remain unresolved) / enjoying the sunshine, to-day …
