Thanks, Ian – I quite often do ’stark’; it wasn’t an option to walk out on to the pier, unfortunately. It juts out behind a large power station, not far from where we live. I only discovered last week that ordinary people can walk to the point from which I took the photo. The view in the opposite direction would have revealed an industrial landscape – interesting, in its own way …
